Primitive Tools & Weapons
Length: 5 days (Monday through Friday)
Location: Big Oak Wilderness School, Stevensville, MT
Cost: $400.00 (meals not provided)
Prerequisite: Need to be 18 years of age or older and have attended our Wilderness Skills course.
Enrollment: Limited to 6 students
Accommodations: Bring your own tent. (We have tents for rent, please reserve ahead of time.) The school classroom has heating and a bathroom.  The school has a refrigerator, cook top and a microwave oven; there will also be a campfire every evening.
Meals: Each student is responsible for their own food. There are restaurants and grocery stores within driving distance. (about 15 minutes)

Primitive Tools
Such modern conveniences as bowls, spoons, pots, lamps, torches and bedding are difficult to find in the wild. This class will teach the student how to make all these things from the natural materials around them. Some of the items that will be made are:

Wooden Bowl and Spoon

Primitive Weapons
Thru the ages man has progressed from throwing rocks and sticks to using spear throwers and darts. This class will follow that same progression as we take the student from throwing sticks to using the atlatl. (no animals will be trapped or hunted during this class)
